Islamic Thought has the privilege of organising an International Conference on a distinguished Islamic seminal text, namely Nahjul Balagha by Imam Ali (d.661). This text has played a central role in the study of Arabic literature, and has expounded countless other sciences which have emanated from this single source.

This academic conference aims to explore in depth the wide-ranging themes of faith, humanity and politics in the sermons, letters and sayings of Imam Ali contained within the book. This conference further serves to stimulate research and discussions pertaining to the influence of his teachings in the era in which he lived, and their practical applicability in challenging issues in the modern world.

The conference will consist of a number of esteemed international academics presenting their papers on various aspects of Nahjul Balagha. There will be an exclusive video presentation by the keynote speaker, Professor George Jordac from Lebanon, the renowned author of 'The Voice of Human Justice'.
